Our Focus
Our research and interventions prioritize:
✔ Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)
✔ Vector-Borne Diseases
✔ Infectious Diseases caused by bacterial and viral pathogens affecting humans and animals
Additionally, we address the growing impact of climate change on public health—rising disease endemicity, environmental degradation, natural disasters, and poverty-related illnesses—by implementing innovative, science-driven solutions.
Our Approach
NCHRD embraces a One Health framework, recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Through this holistic approach, we design and implement interventions that foster sustainable disease control efforts across Uganda and the broader Eastern African region.
Our Commitment
As an independent, non-political, non-partisan, non-denominational, and non-profit organization, NCHRD operates with full legal recognition under Ugandan law. We collaborate closely with the Ministry of Health’s Vector-Borne Diseases, Infectious Diseases and NTD Divisions, and our work is further supported by a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Uganda.
Our Journey of Impact and Excellence
Since our inception, we have remained committed to evidence-based research, collaborative partnerships, and community-driven solutions. Through innovative interventions and dedicated research, NCHRD is shaping the future of public health in Uganda and beyond.
Vectors still remain a danger to human life
